Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is WSBS participation limited to women?
A. This event supports women small business owners and the unique challenges they face. Women’s Small Business Summit is an inclusive event for those who can share perspectives, provide solutions for the unique challenges female entrepreneurs encounter and elevate our community professionally. We welcome all participants who share this goal and want to connect with upcoming movers and shakers in the local business community.
Q. What if I purchase a ticket and can’t make it on the day of the event? Or if I decide I’m no longer comfortable gathering in-person?
A. We understand that people are busy, schedules change and circumstances are evolving. Although tickets are non-refundable, you should know that your purchase will be supporting SCORE Rhode Island, which helps small business owners and entrepreneurs in our area through mentoring programs, seminars and business workshops.
Q. I’m interested in sponsoring this event. How do I get more information?
A. Becoming a sponsor is a great way to get exposure for your business while supporting SCORE, which has been a pillar in the Rhode Island/South Coast Massachusetts business community for more than 50 years. Sponsorships range in cost from $250 to $5000 and offer a variety of benefits based on each level. All sponsorship inquiries can be emailed to rhode.island.score@gmail.com
Q. I’m worried about COVID. What are you doing to ensure safety for WSBS participants?
A. We are continuing to closely monitor conditions surrounding COVID-19. We will be adhering to local mandates at the venue’s direction and will monitor infection levels and the recommendations of public health officials regarding in-person gatherings. We have alternate plans in place, should a 100% in-person gathering become impossible. Face masks are recommended regardless of vaccination status.
